Camp Travel combines meaningful community projects with off the beaten track activities to make for a once in a lifetime experience.
Perhaps you didn’t get to travel when you were younger or are tired of the conventional ‘hotel style’ of holiday or you are at the point where you fancy a completely new adventure, Camp Travel promises not to disappoint.

We have created an action-packed itinerary focused on helping underprivileged communities by teaching English and sports to children, getting involved in a renovation project and spending time at one of Thailand’s top-rated elephant sanctuary’s.

Why Camp Travel?
Camp Travel is a unique opportunity to give back to a seriously under-privileged local community and leave a lasting legacy by teaching English and helping with a renovation effort. This is an opportunity to explore the real rural Thailand, spend time with rescued elephants and really immerse yourself in local culture, this is not something you would ever find on a typical package holiday.
Push yourself out of your comfort zone!
Camp Travel is not a typical holiday, you will be exposed to the real rural life of the local community, you will be welcomed with open arms and given to chance to really make an impact to children’s lives by teaching in the local schools. You do not need previous experience of teaching, although the thought of facing a room full of children may be daunting at first we promise it will be an experience you will never forget!
It’s not all work and no play:
Giving your time in the local schools and the construction effort is extremely rewarding but can be tiring, we’ve ensured there is plenty of free time to relax, explore and get involved in activities such as wine tasting, Muay Thai boxing, yoga, massage, waterfalls and temples, the list is endless!
Let us tell you about the elephants…
Thailand has one of the highest populations of Asian elephants in the world, sadly a lot of these elephants are used in the tourist industry which does have an incredibly dark side to it.
Camp Travel is committed to raising awareness so that people visiting Asia are well informed when making decisions about elephants used for tourism. We only work with a fully vetted sanctuary that does not allow elephant riding, bullhooks or chains. You can tick off this incredible bucket list moment knowing these elephants are not in abusive situations.
